The Best Thanksgiving Ever

By Brenda Jank

With grief and gratitude pulling our hearts in opposite directions, “hit pause” this Thanksgiving. Recognize the losses you have faced through Covid-19 and the gifts that have emerged. Inventory your heart. Do this alone. Or take the time to multiply the blessing – and do this with family or friends.

Looking for a place to start? Watch this 3 ½ minute news story, which aired on November 4, 2021, about a young man who lives near Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Joshua Jank has learned that diamonds are made under heat and pressure.

Losses. Gifts. Diamonds.

Take five. Take ten.

Let love lead the way.

First time here?

  1. Oh, Brenda! What a beautiful and precious story – and this lovely and passionate young man is your son! Sending love to you and prayers heavenward for you and Joshua.
May God continue to anoint you in your ministry (it is such a blessing to me) and give you daily grace and strength.
Taking five or ten today for a heart inventory as you suggest – to acknowledge the losses and give great praise and thanks for the diamonds,

    • Karen – Thanksgiving blessings to you.
Praying the hours of this holiday week hold soe quiet for you and those you love.
Peace. Quiet. And bucket filling rest – every chance you get!
There is power in an hour with Jesus.
      Some good fun.
A power walk and a power nap … and maybe even a turkey induced long one!
      Hug!
