What do you want for Christmas?
It’s a common December question. Some respond with very long lists–ask any of my children. Some people just shake their head, “Nothing.”
But there’s one who always knows what he wants for Christmas and it’s always the same thing.
“Jesus, what do you want for Christmas?”
“You.”
Sweet. Simple. And radical enough to turn my New Year upside down. Jesus wants me–every thought, every passion, every broken dream. He wants me and every chamber of my heart.
Deep breath. Slow, deep breath. OK.
Happy Birthday, Jesus.
What do I want for Christmas?
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self control. The best kind of fruitcake.
Merry Christmas to you all. Praying 2015 is going to be a year of great miracles.
Betty — the BEST fruit cake I have ever heard of.
Miracles. Yes. Big and small and everything in between.
What do I want for Christmas? Peace of mind as to not worry or feel bad. Happiness and joy is all I want
Praying for peace and joy and ALL God has in store for this day, this year and your greatest hopes.
