Salvation and Sanctification

By Brenda Jank

Salvation: God brings Heaven to our souls through the free gift of love and grace won for us by Jesus’ death on the cross. This divine salvation, offered to us without any merit on our part, allows us to experience the boundless love and forgiveness of God. It is through His mercy that we are able to receive this incredible gift and find solace in the midst of life’s trials and tribulations.

Sanctification: We bring Heaven to earth when we choose to live and love as God decrees. Through sanctification, we strive to align our thoughts, actions, and intentions with God’s perfect will. It is a continuous process of transformation and growth, where we strive to become more like Christ in our character and conduct.

By embracing His teachings and embodying His love, we have the power to impact those around us and create a glimpse of Heaven on earth. Through God’s gift of salvation we receive redemption, while sanctification empowers us to live a life that reflects His glory. Together, these two elements form the foundation of our faith and guide us in our journey with Jesus.

  1. Bren,

In your RHRW you laid out the basics — Justification which is complete in us through Jesus, and Sanctification which is regrettably always incomplete and our striving for holiness by the Holy Spirit.

We arrived safely, but tired, at 2 pm Wednesday. Getting ready to meet with Donovans on Thursday.

Words picked up at our cabin on the lake – “Soul tended and time spended iis not wasted.”

You and Tim had our time together well planned and all went smoothly. A huge bonus for our coming at Josh’s funeral was to be reminded of our personal faith in Jesus, and to enable family and friends to reconnect in familial solidarity.

    We love you!

    • Oh Pop – !

We gathered together for the Glory Story that God is orchestrating in all our lives.
Josh’s life and death gave us the chance to do so this last week.
      Grateful.
      For so much.
And you shared …. A soul tended and time suspended is not wasted.
      Amen.
      Amen.
      Time is suspended right now.
Letting Jesus lead the way through this new chapter.
